Starflex telescopic tubes make it easy to use the height of the cargo area and create storage space where it would otherwise often be empty.

The tubes are mounted between Starflex Modulskinner and can be used to store tables, chairs, and other larger equipment higher up or under the ceiling. This frees up valuable floor space while keeping the equipment easily accessible.

This is especially practical in motorhomes and other vehicles where a lot of equipment needs to fit into a limited space.

Tables, chairs, and other equipment within easy reach

With telescopic tubes, tables, chairs, and other long or flat equipment can be placed above the rest of the luggage instead of at the bottom of the floor.

The tubes can be positioned so that the equipment can easily be pulled out when you arrive, without having to empty the rest of the cargo area first.

Tables and camping chairs are the most common application, but the telescopic tubes are also well suited for items such as rolled-up rugs, awning poles, fishing rods, skis, and other long equipment that would otherwise take up valuable floor space.

Although it is possible to create a storage surface with 2 telescopic tubes, we strongly recommend a minimum of 3 tubes. Three tubes provide better support and stability and, in our experience, are sufficient for a great many setups with tables and chairs.

Of course, more tubes can be used if the equipment is particularly large, heavy, or requires additional support points.

Space for bicycles too

A common concern is that telescopic tubes with tables and chairs under the ceiling will take up the space needed for bicycles.

Our experience is that this can generally be combined very successfully.

Tables and chairs can be placed high up under the ceiling on one side of the cargo area, while bicycles are placed on the other side. In many cases, this also works with large bicycles.

Depending on the height of the bicycle and the cargo area, it may sometimes be necessary to lower or remove the seat to make the best possible use of the space.

This way, the height in the cargo area can be used for tables and chairs without necessarily having to give up space for bicycles.

Sideways adjustment

The telescopic tubes can be angled sideways when viewed from above, so the Modulskinner on the front and rear walls do not need to be directly opposite each other. This does not apply to angling up or down.

Check the actual fit and that the tube can be attached and detached without force. Follow the installation instructions.

Two adjustable lengths

The telescopic tubes are available in two sizes:

• 72–135 cm - maximum load 35 kg

• 114–215 cm - maximum load 20 kg

The length is adjusted according to the distance between the Modular Rails, so the same telescopic tube can be used in many different cargo areas and configurations.

Both sizes can also be cut shorter if you need a shorter minimum length than the standard.

Build the solution according to your needs

The telescopic tubes can be positioned at the height and in the combination that suits your storage needs.

They can be used for, among other things:

• tables and camping chairs

• rolled-up rugs and other larger outdoor equipment

• awning poles, fishing rods and skis

• larger or long items that need to be raised off the floor

• dividing the cargo area

• stoppers and separators for larger items

Since the tubes are mounted in Starflex Modular Rails, their position can later be changed if your needs or equipment change.

The telescopic tubes are designed for use with Starflex Modular Rails and can be combined with the rest of the Starflex system.

This makes it possible to build a complete storage solution that makes better use of the height, walls and floor space in the cargo area - and whose configuration can later be changed or expanded as needed.
