The Friction Buttons are a simple addition that provides Starflex accessories with extra stability when mounted on the Modular Rails.

The buttons extend slightly from the Modular Rail and create light pressure and additional friction against the mounted product. This helps the accessory stay more securely in place and move less, especially while driving and on uneven roads.

Compatible with several Starflex products

The Friction Buttons can, among other things, be used together with:

• Bike Carriers

• Eurobox Holders

• Hooks and hanging accessories

• Other holders and accessories that hook onto the Modular Rails

They are particularly useful for products where a little extra pressure and friction help the setup stay more securely and stably in place.

The Friction Buttons do not work on the Telescopic Tubes.

An easy way to increase stability

The Friction Buttons work by wedging the accessory more securely in place and increasing the friction between the product and the Modular Rail.

We recommend them, among other things, when mounting Bike Carriers and the Rail for Bike Carriers, where the additional friction contributes to a more stable setup.

Installation and removal

The Friction Buttons are pressed into the mounting holes in the Modular Rail and are designed to remain there.

They can be removed when needed, but since they are made of plastic, the Friction Button itself may crack or become damaged during removal.

The Friction Buttons can therefore remain in the Modular Rail even if the accessory is later moved or removed.
